Cambridge High School runs an excellent rowing program using their own boats and coaches whilst sharing our boat shed, changing rooms and kitchen/lounge facilities. It is ably led by Karl Manson.
St Peters School also run an excellent rowing program using their own boats and coaches. They have their own separate building although they share our kitchen/lounge facilities and run by Josh Wedlake.
All school rowers, who are new to rowing, attend learn-to-row programs run by their respective schools.
One or both schools may combine with the club's older rowers of the same ability classification to make up regatta crews at regattas run under NZ Rowing's Rules.
Where the NZ Secondary Schools Rules are used, in a 'schools' regatta, only pupils of eligible schools (CHS, SPS) may compete. These regattas, generally, are
- North or South Island Secondary Schools Championships and
- New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships ('Maadi')
